Q: I'm a T-Mobile phone user and will be going to Thailand for a few months. When I'm in Bangkok, I want to buy a prepaid phone card.

Does anyone know if you you need to unlock your mobile phone before you can buy a prepaid card in Thailand? If your phone is unlocked, then, when you are back in the UK, is there any problem with your current network?

A: Yes you need to unlock it with triple zero of ask the T Mobile company in Thailand, they would help you. There should not be a problem using in UK after using it in Thailand.

Can you use a Sprint prepaid card from your cell phone without using your airtime minutes?

I want to buy a friend a Sprint prepaid phone card to use from his cell phone so that he can call his family back home, however, will this still use up his airtime minutes? If so, I won't buy it since it will defeat the purpose...


I am pretty sure it will use air time mintues.

I am looking for a prepaid phone card that is easily rechargeable and at very affordable rates. I would like to use this phone card primarily for calls made to in the United States from a state to state call. I do like to use the cards for a long distance phone calls.
