I am currently in the Netherlands and wanted to buy the HTC Desire phone here. Will the phone work with asian networks and would the interface of the phone be changed to English?

A: I have an other HTC phone, and seeing the description of the Desire phone I assume you will be alright for English and for Asian networks.

The best you can do is going to a shop where they sell it and ask.
