Sprint HTC Hero Touch Screen Android Smart Phone

Im leaving Sprint because I hate their service, but I still own my HTC Hero Android. Can I use it with a different cell phone company?

A: You could have it flashed to a regional provider like Cricket, Metro, etc., but that's not really gonna help you since they all have much worse coverage than Sprint, so in this case the answer would be no- sorry..

HTC One V to hit uk April 23

The HTC One V will go on sale in April 23, and will retail in the region of £226 for the handset.

You can already pre-order the One V, which is a budget Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device, from retailers such as the Carphone Warehouse , but April 23 will be the day you can actually get your hands on its HTC Hero-esque body.

If you don't fancy buying the device outright, it can be had for as little as £13.50 a month on a two year contract. This makes it a bit of a bargain when you consider a lot of slower, older devices on Android Gingerbread still fetch the mid-twenties and above.

So what do you get for your money? Well, you get a 1GHz single core processor, 4GB of storage, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB of RAM, Dr Dre's Beats Audio, a 3.7-inch display and the curved chin of the HTC Hero where a trackpad used to be.

We've had one in the office for a few days and first impressions are good. The device feels great in the hand and Android Ice Cream Sandwich is vastly improved. Factor in a microSD card slot - something its more expensive brothers, the One S and One X , don't have, and it looks as if you're onto a winner.
