Q: Hi, A: check it out here
I brought a SONY DVD Player in Canada; Model no. DVP-NS63P. After then, I brought some DVD Video from Far East ( Hong Kong ) during the summer Holidays. But found that the DVD Video can not read and Play those DVD which I bring back from Hong Kong . As I know that the DVD Video has their own code for their own Country, this maybe the main problem that my DVD Player can not read those DVD Video from Hong Kong.
Under such status, can someone else tell me how to Decode the SONY Player - Model DVP-NS63P; and let it be free to read any kind of Codes of DVD.
I have various types of video and audio formats in my local harddisk. I would like to copy them to a CD disk and use the Sony DVD player to do the playback. I have video formats such as avi, mpg, mpeg, dat and audio formats such as mp3, wma. I know the player can surely read mp3 formats. But I would like to know, whether it can read the rest of other formats ? Which formats I have to change them to view them on my player.
Can anyone help me please ?

You probably don’t like being hassled by too many functions crammed into a small box. Honestly, that annoys me sometimes too. So I searched for a player that would be useful but not complex, something that would just serve its purpose.
Fortunately the search was not long. I chanced upon one of Toshiba’s DVD players, which has been christened SD280EKTB. It was exactly what I had in mind, simple, handy, decent looking and affordable. The Toshiba SD280E is basically a DVD player that plays the whole gamut of media formats. It plays all kinds of CDs like Audio, DA, R and RW. In DVD it plays formats like video, (+/-) R, R DL, RW and ROM. You can also play Mp3 on it. If you have a video CD, don’t worry it plays that one too.
To make the picture viewing more enjoyable it adopts PAL progressive. It also has options of slow motion and variable zoom. It also has icon on-screen display.
In order to enhance the audio quality it applies 3D Virtual Surround Sound. It makes use of Dolby Digital and DTS technologies. Through the former it makes use of six totally independent channels of digital sound and through the latter it adopts a different system for encoding six channel digital surround sound. The final outcome is a treat for the audiophiles.
It comes fitted with five different kinds of connections including analogue 2 channel audio, co-axial audio, component video out put, composite video and Scart (RGB). The component video input connection delivers very high quality video images and is the best connection for DVD video pictures.
You may think that in today’s world there are so many other options available then why this. My answer would be in spite of all that such players from technology powerhouse like Toshiba still hold their ground.
...In PC World Labs image-quality tests, the KDL-52XBR9 scored particularly high for brightness and contrast, expertly handling light, dark, and midrange areas within an image. It didn't perform quite as well with color: While the set did a respectable job, two judges complained of a slight green tint, although the effect wasn't as bad as it has been on some other models we've looked at recently. The TV lacked the primary color space adjustment needed to eliminate the problem, but we were able to reduce the green tint before testing. If you choose this model, you'll probably never be able to make the color look absolutely perfect.
This 240Hz LCD also had some small issues with motion, but they were minor enough that not all of our judges noticed. Two judges saw a slight moiré pattern in a brick wall in chapter 7 of the Mission: Impossible III Blu-ray Disc. One also spotted judder in a panning shot from chapter 9 of The Dark Knight on Blu-ray. As you might expect from a 240Hz set, the KDL-52XBR9 did extremely well in our horizontal-pan test; it also performed reasonably well (producing only a slight judder) in our diagonal-pan test. Those results tell us that in actual use the KDL-52XBR9 should be able to handle most situations like a pro.
I have a Sony DVP-NC85H DVD/CD player and since I'm from Europe, but live in US now, how can I make the player play my old dvds or even the new ones I wanna get with my national language? I saw this dvd program that would unregion my player, is it true or just a hoax? Thanks a lot!
Am planning to buy a DVD Player. Can anybody tell me how good the Sony DVP-NS608P model is ? I couldn't find any review for the product in the net. Has it got USB connectivity ?
