Hello there DIY people, I'm about to buy a drill/driver and a little bit confused about all these offers and numbers etc. I found few online which I thought to take your opinions and see which is the best? here some links if you wanna tell me your views,

A: depends what life u want from machine for normal household use an el-cheapo will do the job. but if you want long lasting heavy workload type ,i would in order go for metabo, bosch,makita. remember you only get what you pay for. good hunting.

Thieves target vans in Woodley

Tool thieves have been targeting vans in Woodley in a series of high-value break-ins.

Mechanical saws, drills, an angle grinder, hand tools and generators were taken in eight separate incidents between Friday, March 2, and Monday, March 12.

Police want more information about a Ford Mondeo containing three men behaving in a suspect manner, seen in the area twice during the week.

In the first incident thieves drilled through the lock of a white Peugeot in Hearn Road and took a blue 7 KVA power generator between 6.30pm on Friday, March 2, and 10.55am the following day.

A blue Makita torch, two silver Robinson vacuum pumps, a green Hitachi reciprocating saw, a black Brother labelling machine, a blue Makita grinder, a blue Makita circular saw and a blue Makita multi-drill were stolen from a Toyota Hiace Van in Millbank Crescent between 6pm on Friday March 2, and 8.30pm the following day.

In the same road, a range of DeWalt items including a yellow radio, a black cordless drill, a yellow circular saw, a yellow angle grinder, a yellow angle driver and a green Makita reciprocating saw were taken from a Fiat Ducato van between 5pm on Friday, March 2, and 2am on Monday, March 5.
