I would like to buy a cordless drill/driver but would not be using on a regular basis (well... most of the time... infrequently). Would that do damage to the rechargeable batteries? Would it be better to only charge prior to when I know I will be needing

A: This is not supposed to be harmful, but it may shorten the usable battery life. The new Lithium Ion (Lion) batteries have no memory, and go full power until they die. If you are going to use it very occasionally, a corded drill might be a better choice.

DRUG POSSESSION, REGAL AVENUE: A resident called police at 2:59 p.m. March 14 to report suspected drug selling in front of his house. The caller told police that he saw two unknown cars — one with a woman driver and the other with a male driver and male passenger — in front of his house. The resident said he approached and saw a bag of marijuana lying on the driver of the second car’s lap. The resident said he grabbed the bag and yelled “deal somewhere else” and the car left the area in an unknown direction. Police kept the bag of drugs as evidence and the investigation continues.

DRUNKENNESS, PEARL ROAD: A Tudor Avenue man was cited for disorderly conduct at 2:33 a.m. March 17 when police found a car sitting in the Hickory Ridge Plaza parking lot with its rear door open. The man was found intoxicated and sleeping in the backseat with his feet hanging out of the vehicle. A family member arrived to pick up the suspect and his car.
