Can you please explain

A: When you stop holding the trigger the braking will start so the drill stops quickly allowing you to put the drill down more safely, otherwise you waste time whilst waiting for the spinning to stop before you can put it down. Before brakes people got impatient

Antique Tools Exhibit Shows that Cordless Isn't a New Concept

While a good portion of the collection on display belongs to Boshears’ husband Jerry, she said there are also items on loan from the St. Charles County Heritage Museum and the First Missouri  State Capitol State Historic Site . She said the museums often share exhibit items.

A Look Into the Past

Boshears said she hopes the exhibit will offer museum visitors a glimpse into a cord-free and not-so-distant past. She said that many people in the younger generation might not even recognize or know how to use a tool without an electric plug.
