What are the NEW and COOL gadgets that will be released or that is released in 2008 or upcoming years?

On Friday, Oct. 24th, Oprah had her newest favorite gadget! It is a dedicated electronic reader called "The Kindle". You can see one at Amazon.com. This reader can download a book in a minute or less and also can play music and has WiFi capabilities if you are in a Sprint Whispernet area. I was so impressed by the design and functions of the "The Kindle" that I ordered one that very day and should be getting it this Thursday. I read a lot and books are so expensive. Amazon.com currently has just over 190,000 books available to down load (and added more daily) for usually less than half the price of either a hardback or paperback book. "The Kindle" can also download newspapers and magazines (minus adds and some syndicated publishings) for much less than you pay at the newsstands. I searched everything I could find about "The Kindle" before ordering mine and I found very few people who didn't like theirs. Even my husband got excited over this new gadget. Chances are you have a pet owner/lover on your holiday list this year and you will be needing to find them the perfect present. While there are plenty of toys and treats to choose from, you might win a couple of extra points if you go for the gadgets.

Pet gadgets basically make our lives easier. Items such as automatic feeders, heated beds, motorized toys, etc. are all designed to make you and your pet happy. Plus, gadgets are cool. Period.

For instance, any cat will go crazy over the Panic Mouse Undercover Mouse toy. It has a little motorized "mouse" that moves underneath a nylon cover. It will keep your cat occupied and frustrated!

Or, if you know someone who is constantly filling up the water dish for their multiple pets, give them a break with the Drinkwell 360 Pet Fountain . This is a watering dish designed with up to five individual streams of fresh-flowing water so pets don't have to wait their turn.

And if you know someone with a really active dog (like me) and his or her arm hurts from constantly playing fetch, this tennis-ball launcher is the perfect solution. Just sit back and watch the crazy dog chase ball after ball without moving a muscle. Sounds good to me.

I used to ride the train downtown Chicago for work and used to always think it would be cool to find a gadget to hold my coffee, read the paper work on the train, whatever.

I figured there's probably some gadgets out there that would be handy for people who ride the train. My sister rides the train for work so I thought something like that would be a good xmas present.
