I have had a Dell Inspiron 1545 since April of 2009. just recently the laptop stopped charging and pops up with a message when i plug the laptop in. i am using the original ac power adapter that came with the laptop (Dell 65W). i dont know what the problem
A: The Battery might be dead so it only works on the cord. that happened to my inspiron 1526, ask geek squad or some other tech support about getting a new battery.
