im going into the 11th grade and i am taking trig and statistics...i just bought a graphing calculator and am trying to figure out how to use it but im really confused even reading the manual. i just downloaded a bunch of apps and idk if i actually got

What I've learned in teaching is, one, my subject. I teach math and I have certainly gotten a lot better at math in my years of teaching.

I've also learned that every child learns in a different way, and that that requires a teacher to be flexible in their methodology and their approach to instruction. You have to be flexible in how – I can speak from a mathematics perspective – you have to be flexible in how a topic is approached with students in order for them to grasp it because everybody learns differently.

So when I approach a topic or a lesson, I try to grab at least two or three different ways of looking at it so as to reach the maximum number of kids. I've kinda learned that over the years.

I think teaching is an exercise in patience and kinda stick-to-itiveness. You have to keep at it. Don’t give up on the kids. Keep them engaged.

It's important that your classroom be a place to feel safe and secure so they can ask questions and learn in a comfortable environment.
