New Computer Tower
Q: I have a PC and I'm freakin sick of my computer tower. You know, that huge thing with the hardware inside. It takes up way to much space. Any way, does the new 2007 iMac need a computer tower?
A: No tower and very small footprint. I have an iMac with a wireless keyboard and mouse. It comes with built in type "n" wi-fi (also has a built in webcam). The only cord running to my iMac is the power cord. Think of it being like a laptop on it's side. Everything is in the monitor. The only visible screw on the new iMacs is underneath where you can add more ram. Looks great.
You know those things where you put the CDs in and stuff. Just the tower not a screen of keyboard or any thing. I have a Vista so how much does one cost? (I want ot be able to play my new Nancy Drew game and its not working!!)
In introducing smaller desktops, Dell is targeting space-constrained organizations, such as those found in education and healthcare settings. Cash-strapped schools are packing more students in classrooms, so less room is available for computers, and hospitals are placing PCs on medical carts or under desks, so smaller is a necessity.
Such "purpose-built" computer designs have become a focus of Dell, Curtis Campbell, OptiPlex product manager, told InformationWeek . In addition, customers in general are demanding systems that reduce overall costs through power efficiency and system management tools.
"Those are critical things that customers are looking for," Campbell said.
The smallest OptiPlex 780 is 9.4 x 2.6 x 9.3 inches, weighs seven pounds, and is Dell's smallest OptiPlex product.
my computer crashed last night. i don't need a monitor or keyboard or any of that, all i need is the tower and it would be nice if it was programmed with microsoft office basic and all that. i know i want a cd/r drive and maybe even a dvd/r drive. i need at least 4 usb ports and i still want my floppy drive. and of course some kind of security program.
I was wondering, what is better, a computer tower or a laptop? Which desktop is better? Which laptop is better?
I have already had the fans replaced, and it is still having the same problems.
