That added expense is already made up for when you upgrade to the latest OS. Get the macbook. I love my MacBook, am a student as well. For me it was worth the extra money, think of the savings on Anti Virus plus operating system upgrades. Plus with the Mac you can run Windows and Microsoft Office....
